Rehearsal 1: Seeing the estate
1:59 min · narrated walkthrough of the demonstration build · synthetic narration, synthetic estate
Recorded from the running demonstration build. Narration is synthetic; the live demonstration carries a human presenter. Every figure shown is computed from pinned sources.
Transcript
- This is Cairns, running on a synthetic estate shaped like a Commonwealth regulator. Three minutes, seven views, and every figure you will see is computed from pinned sources, never typed in.
- One governed model. Three hundred applications, four thousand configuration items, a thousand controls, and the forty-three design documents the architecture actually lives in. The estate is deliberately imperfect: seven hundred and twenty-six items have no lifecycle date at source. They route to an enrichment queue. Nothing is guessed.
- The technology position, computed from the register's own extract. Three hundred and eighty-four items are past end of support today. A hundred and four more are due within eighteen months. Every row traces to a pinned source row.
- The landscape, generated from the record. Capabilities across the map, applications placed where they serve, colour coded by worst technology position. It cannot drift from the repository, because it is not drawn. It is computed.
- Remediation as transition states. Three waves, sequenced from the lifecycle position. Move an application between waves and the impact is computed, because current, target and transition states are branches of the one model.
- The portfolio in one quadrant: business fit against technical health, sized by annual cost. A hundred and twenty-one applications carry no scores. They route to the survey queue instead of being placed by assumption.
- Every element you saw carries its source. Walk it yourself at the trial link, or bring us your scenarios for the demonstration. Cairns. The record that proves its answers.
